Ken Hirai Live Tour 2008 FAKIN' POP started today at Nihon Budokan and the media is already reporting about it. I got the tracklist from some japanese blogs.

But i guess Fakin Pop is more of a upbeat concert....

let me ask a stupid question . Will the setlist & outfits that he will be doing/wearing be the same throughout the whole tour or there will be minor adjustments/changes ?

Most likely both the setlist and the outfits will be the same for the whole tour, but some minor changes in the setlist could happen between the different venues... i mean, he's performing 24 times in the next two months and he may feel like replacing one or two songs in some performances just because he feels like that, or if they see that something is not working or something.

Minna... one of the best part of Hirai Ken's concert is it's MC. Yappari, Hirai Ken is very very humble and nice. And also there was some VTR after ken's bar session (after even if). In the clip, there are pop star (hirai ken, 36), and fake star (real name and age were unknown). Both of them were played by Hirai ken.

So it some kind of interview session. They were asked some questions and they have to answer it. For example, "what do you do when you have free time?" Fake star answer it in a "star" way, while Pop Star (aka hirai ken) answered, "Well, I stay at home, or go to karaoke, or go drink outside, just like other normal people..."

The funny part is where Fake Star tried to sing with his guitar but turns out very awful voice. Then Pop star asked the interviewer,
pop star: "Which agency did he came from?"
interviewer: "Unnggg... I'll check after this"
pop star: "Is he famous?"
interviewer: "He famous in Kansai"
pop star: "But I famous nationwide..."

and also in other MC part, Hirai ken tells about how he got massage 2 days before the concert, and the feeling was little bit awkward, because there were only him and the massaging obachan in the room. And how he was mistaken [again] as "gaijin oniichan" by 70 years ojiisan. The ojisan told Hirai Ken, "Your japanese is very good ne...." and hirai ken only kan say, "maa nee....." hehehehe

Yeah, DefStar HAS TO release a DVD of the tour. I'm pretty sure they will release it by the end of the year.

If only those bastards would also release DVDs of his yearly Ken's Bar concerts,...

I know grr . Why they never release DVDs of Ken's previous Ken's Bar concerts ? Don't they know that they can make a great deal of $ by doing so ?

Instead people like us have to make do with recorded versions of his Ken's Bar concerts which can be found & downloaded on the net .
